That’s me, without my glasses, looking at the eye chart…. if we still had paper charts.
Nowadays they’re built into the machine where the optometrist just flips lenses.
When I was about 8, an eye doctor asked me to read the one on the wall in his cluttered office…
and I asked “Which one is the eye chart?”
He got annoyed, and told me not to be a smart aleck….
Which was unfair, because it was a real question!
When I was at the eye doc’s for an emergency (detached retina) I was truthfully able to say “What wall?” It wasn’t funny at all and did nothing for my fear of blindness!
I have a cataract I would like to get rid of, but it doesn’t affect my reading much. Doc may not do it.
