In the early 1970s, a 21-inch console color television was the best a family might hope for. Imagine a group of people sitting around a living room watching a screen that today wouldn’t be considered a good computer monitor. Of course we wanted to sit close to it.
BTW, that TV might cost you $500. In today’s money that would be over $3000.
