Even if Donald is not re-elected, he can try to do a lot of weird things until his term officially ends. So there’s a possibility the SCOTUS will be called into session to deal with issues in that regard. Trump’s investment in his two Supremes might yet pay huge dividends.
Until he is out of the White House and preferably behind bars, I will not breathe easy. I do not trust that anything honest will come out of the current government. Even then, assuming Biden wins (and is allowed to take the oath of office), the immense amount of work to clean up this shite show will consume at least his entire term.
