Perfectly put! If the line in the sand wasn’t clear before (though I don’t understand how it wasn’t), it is crystal clear now. If you support the rump and his administration, you support bigotry, misogyny, xenophobia, homophobia…
I have been speaking to several trump supporters at my new job these past few weeks. Our talks have been civil. Except for two, the other men do not agree (at least that’s what they are telling me) with everything trump is doing. They voted for him because they did not like some of what the dems were pushing, like gay marriage, and widening abortion rights (making insurers pay for them. eg.), and the way certain groups of immigrants were being given so much. And, they hated Hillary. I have not asked them who they will vote for in November; I can only go so far. My immediate supervisor, the guy who hired me is a trumpie. He is NOT one of the ones I have spoken with. The reason I post this here is to point out that, one: There may be some hope. Two: Although talking politics is risky to family & friendships, IF the subject comes up, be civil, ASK the other what his concerns are. DON’T try to convert him then & there. Hopefully, he may ask YOU what YOUR concerns are.

The old style would or could serve as a face mask during our current pandemic, but the new one is far more comfy.
