Goodell has not been that good a commissioner. Even without the racial issues, he’s been a disaster. Any change in ANYTHING with the NFL starts with Goodell getting the pink slip.
He had a phenomenal first year as starter. Then he fizzled. Happens to lots of players, football, baseball, basketball, etc. In football, look at Tebow (who peaked in college). He became backup from performance. Again look at Tebow for comparison. Tebow could claim that he was cut because he is devoutly religious and discriminated for that. However, it really comes to performance. Number one rule in football is win, number two is controversy as that draws crowds and stimulates sales.
I applaud Kaepernick the activist, but I don’t want Kaepernick the quarterback anywhere near the Giants. He and Tim Tebow are opposite sides of the same gimmick, solved-by-every-defense-in-the-NFL coin.
