There are four main regions on the US where poverty is entrenched across generations:
1. Native American reservations, primarily the Northern Plains -also true in Canada.
2. The US Southern border with Mexico.
3. The Central Appalachian areas, and
4. The last vestiges of the Old South – Mississippi, etc.
All of our modern technologies have not fixed this pattern where poverty is accepted as basically TRADITIONAL. Only a bottom-up approach has a chance to make these changes. You won’t find the real long-term solution in Washington DC……
