I’m sure the pencils I used to chew on in the 50’s and 60’s had lead-based paint. A little natural rubber won’t hurt you.

So, why the need for sewing? Nothing is torn is there?

Just thinking of chewing an eraser gives me chills similar to what some people get from chalkboards. Luckily fingernails and chalkboards never bothered me.

Everyone has some kind of phobia.
