I’m guessing the doctor could see the bits of rubber in the X-ray.

My 4th best friend in high school would chew the heck out of my pencils during class. He’d leave the erasers intact though. Then he would give them back to me, faithfully. He often sharpened them first. Wonder what happened to good old Ronnie. Hmmm.

Eraserophagia?? How can it get to your elbow? Wouldn’t the eraser bits get digested ? I’m gonna stop eating erasers right now. Good Luck Charlie!!

It’s not an easy thing to get rid of. Good thing they caught it before he developed a rubber face. We expect him to bounce back relatively soon.

“-phagia” means “eating” (as in “coprophagia,” eating poop), so “eraserophagia” wouldn’t be caused by eating erasers, it would be the act of eating erasers itself.

@ Granandin - is Ziggy’s doctor a real doctor or did he just send in his $50 to get his MD sheepskin? But then, it seems that he diagnosed him correctly. Ziggy is an eraser eater. Erasers are rubber and won’t hurt him, just bounce around down there for awhile.
