With neighbors up doing fireworks until about 2:00 AM, it kind of obscured (get it?) the moon thing. It is now 5:30 AM, and I can’t tell you how much I want to ride my bike outside and yelling at the top of my lungs…“5:30 and all’s well!”
Even if you had been watching for the lunar eclipse last night you would not have seen it. The moon only passed through the penumbra, the lighter part of the Earth’s shadow. Any difference in brightness across the surface would have been too subtle to distinguish.

But excellent advice if you’re watching the eclipse from the moon.
