I’m an upper middle class white male, so at first glance you would think my life matters. But I’m gay so it doesn’t. But I guess I am lucky, by appearance I can pass for someone who’s life matters. Republicans I meet are even nice to me, before they find out. After, not so much.

Funny how people with an arsenal of guns at home to protect themselves think wearing a mask to protect yourself and others from a deadly disease is absurd. Particularly given that the odds of being killed by a stranger invading your home is infinitesimal compared to the chance of dying from Covid-19.

Mr. Perkins is a strawman. I hate when a right-wing ’toonist uses such a transparent techniques to un-enlighten, so I’m bound to call this out too. Now if she had actual quotes…

Trump Gate = 100,000 dead, 39,000,000 unemployed, the country in danger due to the lack of any kind of coherent testing program.

I suspect if COVID-19 was “thinning the herd” of the President’s base to any measurable extent, he and “guvermint” (as his witless base likes to call it) would be doing a whole lot more to combat this virus. But instead, the current administration appears to be more interested in voter suppression and depriving its foes of their right to vote come November. Alas, we are a country awash in morons.
