I think Kenny trusted Mommy as a pup before he learned to judge distance.

Trusting your friends will “catch” you in life every time you trip yourself up will eventually cause them to let you fall when you may really need them.

Trust in God first, then yourself, then your friends. Most of the time you won’t have to bother your friends because between God and your own efforts you will keep standing.

And of course, needlessly calling on your friends to catch you will lose them quickly.

Trust God to catch you when you don’t expect Him to. He’s not obligated to bail you out of the consequences of your own stupid actions. If you deliberately fall and cry, “Catch me, God!”, it’s gonna hurt.

@Coyoty, Exactly. If you deliberately put yourself into a stupid sitiation you will likely have to dig your own way out. I am not aware of anyplace in the Bible where we are encouraged to turn to God to expect a rescue after knowingly and deliberately ignoring his counsel.
