If that’s what he’d be like with a little more practice, I hate to think what he’s like now!

That sounds like my golf game. I’m still trying to break 120.

hi david, remember last year we talked about cartoon symbols and how it wouldn’t be feasible to publish a selection of them due to copywrights? Well I have a solution: instead of using copywrited cartoons as examples and since I’m not the greatest of artists, I could make stickfigures along with the various types of conversation bubbles, etc. What do u think of this?

Arye - I’m willing to give it a try. Are you talking about drawing them on paper and then scanning them and putting them on the Internet somewhere? It sounds like fun. And actually, stick figures are very close to Harold Gray’s original artwork anyway.

Pffft, breaking 120 is easy. It only took me 5 holes to do that the last time I played golf.

I once shot an 87. After that, I didn’t even bother going to the second hole …

Willie Nelson once commented on golf: “Par is whatever you decide it should be. This hole is a par 43. Yesterday I birdied it.”

Davidf42, I hope you’re still on this thread after a day. Thanks for responding. I was thinking of either bringing the results to a publisher or to self-publish.

    I’ve already self-published a fantasy-fiction I’ve been writing since I was a teenager, “The Promise of Bisibi,” and I’ve only sold-given away 15 copies - I’m still holding the other 85 copies.
