Health tip. If ordering a pie, make it a Roni. Pepperoni has anti-viral elements and has been proven to make you happy. Ever seen anyone eat a Roni pie and cry? Of course not. Tell the kid to keep the change.
When the family was gone (we rented her house & she’d visit us), my great aunt – not known for her cooking skills – put a roast in the oven, & accidentally fell asleep (No booze involved… I don’t think). The neighbors saw smoke (windows were open) and called the fire department. Needless to say, the entire downstairs was smoke-filled – how did she not smell it and wake up???? She paid for painting, new carpet, thorough cleaning of everything upstairs and down. Unfortunately, she chose a turquoise theme – painted wood, wallpaper, carpet. I’m choosing to believe my aunt picked the color and not my parents. :-)
