Sent my kids to a private school. Their vocabulary and understanding exceeded mine quickly. Nothing like a ten year old telling you that you’ve sent them to a crypto-fasict school and, by the way Dad, you have a dearth of perspicacity.
The idea of a grading system has nothing to do with competition. It has to do with helping a child and their parents understand where the child is doing well and where they need extra work/help. That’s it.
