We have professionals managing our 401k plans as well as a smidge of other investment. We like their work because they have been returning better than the indexes. A little better. But they’ve wished (out loud, but quietly) that this administration would just get its act together. The Coronavirus effect is similar to the China trade war effect, similar to other “acts of nature” problems. They are preparing for a serious correction, but they’re not (of course) able to predict exactly when it’ll happen. I suppose COVID 19 could trigger it…
No idea what the long term results will be but short term effects…
A half hour after the Wall Street markets closed, after dropping over a 1000 points, it was reported that other world markets were continuing to drop. Wonder what Trump’s market will look like on the 25th?
Especially when it’s widely exposed that Trump has gutted the part of the C.D.C. that was supposed to handle “Pandemics”, and Trump’s loyalist buddy who is assigned the job of running the “Coronavirus Task Force” is having a bit of trouble finding his “butt” with both hands. (but he’s loyal, very loyal.)
The National Enquirer and Rush Limbaugh both say that COVID-19 is a disease cooked up by the Chinese to attack the US. In other news ‘Mad Mike’ Hughes died from a homemade rocket test to prove the earth was flat.
