I’m surprsied Poncho hasn’t chipped a tooth or few every time he bites/destroys his supper dishes.

Make them edible. Less kibble will be needed, as well.

No kibble left behind is Poncho’s philosophy. The bowls are just collateral damage.

I’m surprised someone hasn’t invented an edible dog bowl…

Count your fingers, human, and consider yourself lucky if you still have them all.

Yes, a really good idea: edible bowls for dogs that eat like Poncho!

BTW, our dogs neve ate with such abandon.

When we had our first dog I wondered if she liked her food because she ate it one piece at a time.

I asked the vet about the difference in the way the dogs on TV eat and the way our dog did, since I was wondering if she didn’t like the food since she seemed picky. She asked if the dog ate everything or if she just smelled it and then left it. I said that she ate it all.

Then she said that some real dogs don’t eat like it is shown on commercials. For the commercials the bottom of the bowl is smeared with real fat or they toss in a few pieces of real meat. For large dogs, it might be even raw and smelly leftovers, so the dog tries to get at it fast and that’s why it looks as if it is devouring the advertised dog food …. live and learn…. so even the “gourmet” dog food is not that special…
