This is an accurate summary of this aspect of Zen Buddhism, as I understand it (not that I claim to have a deep understanding).
My answer to young Ozy is because if they were THAT involved in doing something, talking would be a distraction.
The Zen of Not Doing. Only slightly more important than the Zen of Navel Gazing.
If you wonder if you are doing it right, you are not doing it right. Much research was done into meditation (esp. “transcendental meditation”) in the 70s. All in all, a nap does you the same amount of good. SURPRISE!
