I tried MENSA. They told me that I had to pay a $150 fee for the test. I figured that only an idiot would do that and that the asking of the fee had to be the test. So, I passed the test! However, I never heard from them again…
Actually, you can just send them your scores from a variety of tests- they will send you a list- and if they are high enough, you’re in. That part was easy. It was the yearly dues just to carry around a Mensa card that seemed stupid to me.
