    Morning, Village!

It looks like March came in like a sheepish lion. Current temperature is 55, with predicted high of a cloudy 73 and rain predicted throughout the week.

    March on Vagabonds

My first look at the thermometer showed me it was 12 above. Our forecast is on and off snow showers this morning and the sun peeks out at us this afternoon. A high of 25. That don’t seem all that high.

For the rest of the week the temps are predicted be in the forties. (^.^)

March seems to have come in like a lamb, or, a toothless lion.

Sugaring should be starting soon with these kind of temperatures. Now Rev. Chadwick who was our pastor for 25 yrs starting in the mid sixties, came to us from El Paso, TX, told me once that sugaring came in the fall down south, cane sugar that is.

Soon I’ll get ready for church so I say to all y’all God bless.

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

It is a beautiful, sunny 55 here this morning and supposed to get up to 63. I had plans for yard work but am to sick to do it. Nothing to serious, just a head cold and low grade fever. Just enough to keep me down for a day or two. Not much going on today. I hate that I will be missing church today, but I prefer not to share my cold with friends.

    Everyone have a wonderful day.

    Good Sunny morning, Vagabonds,

We had our morning snow shower, and now the sun came out. I’m sure it’ll all be melted by noon.

I need a day of rest. I did way too much yesterday. Now I know a little how God felt in Creation!

Take care of that cold, Chris. It’s a good thing to stay home with it rather than sharing.

    xoxo Happy Trails

    Good evening, Vagabonds.

Mark, your descriptions of sugaring always make me want to have some pancakes with maple syrup. (BTW, did you see today’s Frazz?)

We left Henderson at 8 AM and arrived in Encinitas just before 2 PM. They wouldn’t let us check in until 3, so we found a parking lot that overlooked the ocean and enjoyed the view for an hour. The hotel has a free continental breakfast of which we plan on taking advantage every day.

We will meet up with Chris tomorrow morning and then we will go out to dinner with them at a Mexican restaurant they say is wonderful. Our tentative plan is to visit the San Diego mission together since none of us has ever seen it. Plus, of course, the photo albums.

We hit rain about Barstow, off and on and never really all that hard. But it did last all the way down to Escondido. Tempss were mostly in the mid 60’s. I hope the weather improves tomorrow.

    Everyone have a blessed day.
