Hmmm, I don’t know about that one. Almost seems like theft. Going onto private property to take something that isn’t yours?
I understand her reasoning behind what they are doing… most of the circulars do become needless trash, and she has chosen to try and do something about it.
But, my wife, and many other people that I know of, enjoy the shopping circulars and save a lot of money using them. They would be very disappointed if this happened to them.
I agree. She has no right to pick up the circulars since it is legal to distribute them. I personally enjoy reading them as they advertise local businesses and have coupons. Nana is wrong on this one.
I wouldn’t take them off neighbors’ private property, but I have certainly felt like dropping the ones we receive in an envelope and shipping them back to the senders.. The ones that gall me the most are those stuck under my windshield wiper, hung on my doorknob or illegally placed in my mailbox. (If the mail carrier delivers them, that’s legit. I might or might not read those and either way, they go in the recycling bin.)
