We really need to send a message to our Congress about the use of bottled water. Watch a hearing and count the bottles. How many tons of plastic bottles do they generate each year? 2 bottles a meeting per representative or congressman multiplied by every committee meeting and then there is the full House or Senate meetings. And then tell me I do not do enough for the environment.

The funny thing about most bottled water is that it’s identical to better quality tap water in in many cases. It’s identical because it comes from a source also used for municipal water supplies. A few years back in San Francisco, which has great tap water, a legit blind taste test using tap water and several high end bottled waters came out with no clear winner.

Unfortunately a lot of people around the World and in the USA do not have access to clean drinkable water. What about those poor individuals living in Michigan and other States that had their water polluted by their elected officials and industries who were too busy and did not care to ensure their constituents had clean drinkable water. Also, severe storm victims do not have access to safe water and need the National Guard to truck in bottled water.
