Trump is living proof that a person does not need to be intelligent in order to be a successful con artist, or cult leader (and Trump was both, for a while). He merely needs to be slightly less of an imbecile than the victims of his con artistry or his cult. Trump is slightly less of an imbecile than the people who voted for him.
