Just because there’s more sh*t on TV these days doesn’t mean there wasn’t sh*t on TV back then too. You only remember the shows that were actually good, the rest doesn’t stand the test of time and gets forgotten pretty fast. Twenty years from now nobody will (want to) remember Honey Bubu (or whateve the name of that horrible kid is).
Got into something like this with the kids (grades 1-5) in my Sunday School class last week. They couldn’t wrap their heads around the fact that I didn’t have video games when I was that age. We were talking about needs vs wants. No, you don’t NEED TV or video games.
