My oldest granddaughter, now almost 20 and a beautiful redhead, was terrible when she was that age about allowing me to wash or brush her hair! Even when she was younger and really needed the help. I would try so hard to be gentle, but the entire time she would be, “Oh, Nana, you’re hurting me, no, Nana, please, stop, Nana, ouch, Nana, OW, Nana!”. It was ridiculous! My other granddaughter was much better, as was her half-sister. All had long hair. I could wash and brush their hair, and not a whimper. She is almost 12 and still pretty good about allowing me to brush her hair.

The problem here is you take too much at a time. You need to moisten it up a bit and take a small amount of hair and GENTLY brush it to get those clits out.

Brush it from the bottom up.

My mother & I went through this, and she just decided to chop it off. I still refuse to have short hair, and she thinks I’m joking when I say it’s one of the few things I’ll never forgive her for.

Leave it as it is in panel 4. She can tell everyone she is setting a “trend”.

I used to be a hair stylist. You start at the ends and gradually work your way up to the roots, combing down a little at a time. Grab the hair above where you are combing and it doesn’t hurt.
