While Michael Bloomberg is certain the reality of what Trump pretends to be, and would certainly be far more competent (plus liberal on social issues and gun safety issues), I somehow doubt there is much appetite in the Democratic Party for another rich New Yorker and former Republican trying to buy himself a presidency.
Bloomberg decided last spring not to run because he felt Joe Biden could take on Trump. His reversal now is a strong vote of no-confidence in Biden and puts competitive pressure on Klobuchar and Buttigieg who are vying for the same moderate lane. In contrast, because Bloomberg expressed concerns about Bernie Sanders and, especially, Elizabeth Warren, he actually strengthens their case by exemplifying the threat of billionaires buying elections and governments while they prove that viable campaigns grown only from the grass roots.
Couldn’t Judge Judy get there? She’s been promoting Bloomberg – she was on Bill Maher’s show right after Bloomberg announced and today I saw an op-ed she wrote. Probably doesn’t want to lose her tax cut.
Bloomberg wants to run because Trump is so (expletive deleted) terrible, right?
David Brin writes that if Bloomberg really wants to get to Trump, he should offer to pay the penalties for violations of Trump’s Non-Disclosure Agreements.
.
Of course the Trump Disciples would swallow everything Trump has done, just like they do now, but no non-Disciples would ever support him again.

Bloomberg brings a new twist on an old saying: “A Fool and His Money Will Be Soon Parted”.
