On a union job where both people are doing the same job, yes they are paid the same. On a salary job there can be differences, and a lot of the time it can be what their negotiation skills they have and also how available they are for the job. Worked at a Nuclear power plant and I know our female union workers got the same wage. Our engineers had to negotiate their wages and raises, when word got around what they each made , the next raise period the lower paid workers got tough and negotiated bigger salaries. This was both men and women, when you have a skill that is hard to replace, they will pay you what it’s worth.
