Yep, my daughter (as an adult) almost lost an eye to trampoline dodge ball. BTW you get really quick service in ER when you say “I can’t see”. Fortunately they were able to repair it (I don’t remember the details but it required multiple visits).
The balls are similar to the red rubber ones we used in gym class, but smaller, so they can be handled with one hand and fit past the cheek bone to contact your eye.
