Now that it’s six years later, a lot of people – myself included – are seeing that the Exchanges, and in fact the overhaul as a whole, did more harm than good.

    In my case?

Obama’s promise that anyone making less than a certain amount of money could receive federal aid became yet another broken promise, as anyone who makes below a specified level will be rejected for federal aid and instead left at the mercy of their state Medicaid office.

I’m in that category of people who were rejected, and my state Medicaid office has told me that as an adult white male since I’m not otherwise receiving assistance I’m at the back of the line for anything that might come through.

Thus I’m having to pay so much to cover my premiums that I can’t actually afford to go see the doctor, and I need cash to cover my premiums as my Exchange-listed policy has so many gaps in coverage that there’s no guarantee they’ll cover any given visit.

The reason that law was passed is because the insurance companies gave the politicians a lot of money to pass the law to make the insurance companies more money.
