Years ago a business publication had an employment advice column for people looking for new jobs. The one bit of advice I remember was, “If you see posters of platitudes plastered on the walls and bulletin boards – RUN AWAY FAST!” The thought being if a company is relying on that sort of thing to improve morale or productivity, it shows that the management is either incompetent, or incapable of actually working with their employees directly.
