It reminds me of birthday parties when my kids were in elementary school. Ask most parents what their kids want and they will tell you “boy stuff” or “girl stuff,” as if all boys and all girls liked the same things. I used to enjoy counter-programming that by giving art kits to the boys and science kits to the girls. The really fun part was watching them get excited at getting something different after the 10th generic gift in a row.
