    Howdy Vagabonds

Mix of sun and clouds today, high at 59. Pleasant.

We got a couple people coming today to see what we can do to get this drafty barn of a house more buttoned up and warmer. When dad built this house he was in a hurry to get it closed in by winter back in ‘51. The old house had burned and he needed get it done, insulation was not then a top priority, petrol was not as expensive back then. So we now need to get’er done.

In other news, I bet you didn’t fall for that one.

Have a good day all and may God bless.

    Morning, Village!

Our heater went out. The repairman came yesterday, but didn’t have the right part, so now he has to come back today. It’s not real bad, since we’re nowhere near freezing, but darned uncomfortable.

    Good Freezing morning, Vagabonds,

This big Canadian Dip is brutal! It was 7 degrees when I got up! And, we’re supposed to get some wind. BRRRRR! It’ll warm up to the high 30’s for Halloween. Poor little kids.

Another good day to stay in and warm. You folks do the same.

    xoxo Happy Trails

    Good afternoon Vagabonds.

I’ve been out and about this morning to church for prayer and across town to pick up our mail. I still haven’t made the address change for most of our mail, just lazy I guess. When I got home, the water had been turned off for the entire community! It’s back on now, though.

My insurance company has (unsolicited) sent me a do-it-yourself colon cancer screening kit. Hint??? I’ll do it, though. Better to be safe than sorry.

My visit with Mike yesterday went well. He found the neckties he wanted plus another shirt and a book he wanted to read. He was also very grateful for the Dr. Pepper (and a bit of lunch money). He’s got a job call back interview this afternoon from one of the local casinos. The guy that called told the phone answerer that he wants to make Mike a job offer, not just an interview. Here’s praying!

Not much happening for the rest of the day or tomorrow for that matter. So I guess I’ll get a bit more of my cross-stitch done.

The temps around here continue to be a bit colder than normal for this time of year. The next couple of days won’t even get to 60. As Rita said, I pity the trick-or-treaters.

    Everyone have a blessed day.

    Good morning Vagabonds.

It is a chili day here as well. Currently at 39 with an expected high of 45, it is cloudy and should rain this evening. Today is another quiet day at home. I am preparing to crochet a scarf for my granddaughter and another for my youngest daughter. The hard part is picking the patterns I want to use.

    Everyone have a great day.
