Some clouds this morning clearing out this afternoon, best way to get a high I can think of. The high, 51, comfy.
Grocery day, again, hit the road for Newport right after I drop off the recycle. I’ll have to check it out but I believe that there is a Newport in all of the six New England states. That’s your totally trivial trivia for today.

Last night’s graduation was a very big deal. We had the governor there to speak along with the DA for Clark County, the deputy chief of the LVMPD and one of the higher-ups in Coke Industries (Charles & David Coke, not Coca-Cola) who is a huge prison reform advocate. The 52 men and women who graduated from the week-long intensive training really worked hard to get where they are, and are on the path for a 6% recidivism rate (as opposed to roughly 75% nationwide). They were introduced individually to receive their certificates and diplomas, and when the CEO introduced Mike, he called him the “one and only”. I asked later, and he had some very complimentary things to say about Mike’s attitude and future. Wonderful for a mom to hear.
We also got our pre-planning done and contracted. They emailed the contracts to us and I tried to print it this morning. Oops. I forgot we changed Wi-Fi routers on Wednesday and haven’t changed the connection on the printer yet. We remembered to change everything else. Michael knows how to do that one. I never bothered to learn.
The weather here is wonderful – mid 70’s in the daytime and mid-50’s at night. If only it would stay this way….
We thought about heading to CA for an excursion to “apple country” around Oak Glen, but decided that a 5 or 6 hour drive one-way was a bit much for us. Perhaps if we make it a two-day excursion sometime before the season is over….
It is a beautiful quiet day here. Nothing much going on just the same old stuff. I already made out my grocery list for after church tomorrow and that is the highlight of my day.

Good morning Vagabonds.Going to be a good day today with temp in mid 60’s and very little wind.
Won’t be doing anything in morning except going to get the paper and having my coffee until I go to church at 4 pm.
After that I don’t know what we will be doing until we have supper.

Man, what a boring game that was last night, with the Astros losing 4 – 1. But today they play in Houston with the Astros up 3 games to 2.

God was upstairs with His paint brush this morning. Shades of pink and gray against the blue. What a great watercolor!
I have the day off! I wonder what mischief I can get into. Other than processing the last of the tomatoes, it’s a ‘play it by ear’ day today.
