These ethical issues are way more significant than the commercial implications of an idiotic trade war. No, the trade war is a SYMPTOM of the psychosis that grips this insane shell of a human being.
The ethical foundations of commerce (rule of law, mutual trust between buyer and seller, fair and free trade) are essentially the opposite of what trump is engaged in. But it’s only when his psychosis hits the regressives in their pocketbooks that they give a damn about it.
And yes, China had to be called to task on their behavior. That’s what the TPP was all about. And it was a brilliant stroke of diplomatic wisdom and negotiation. But, typically, trump (and a bunch of dumb democrats) threw it away. Dumb, dumb, dumb.
