News flash, Chip. Abe was not a founding father. I don’t know the context of Beto’s statement, but he might well have been referring to the fact that many of the actual founding fathers held slaves, and many likely held the opinion that people of color are inferior in intellect and morals.

Considering the source, this pretty much has to be some kind of hit against Beto / Liberals, but aside from stealing Abe’s hat and the skateboard, both of which are simply visual devices to make him seem young, I don’t see how this aims to reach that goal. Maybe because if you’re really truly conservative you can’t see racism even in the present much less during the time of our sainted founding fathers, so what Beto says is not just wrong, it’s heresy??
