Definitely worse, Carmen. The “administration” is determinedly working to make it much worse.

Well, I’m going to suggest be cynical: hope and work for better but don’t be surprised or discouraged when the GOP thwarts your efforts.

Carmen, once you realize that the path to happiness lies through our own lives and not through government, your horizons will broaden, your hope will grow and your happiness will come.

Work to promote happiness among your brothers and sisters directly and to limit the role of power in the hands of government at all levels. Then it won’t matter who has been placed into office or bureacratic power since their impact on our lives will be minimal. Only those who believe in big government as the souce of thier happiness (or more likely thier ill-gotten power) seek to put their people in charge of the lives of others.

We the People can always do more in the cause of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness than any government to which we temporarily delegate power.

the best way to have a positive outlook is to avoid social media and cable news and people who think insulting you because you have different views will change you to think like them

80% of people are optimistic and the other 20% aren’t. We need both of them to balance things.
