Good morning Vagabonds. It’s been a while since I have been talking with you.

Things got busy around here and I didn’t take the time to join in.

Today the temp will be in the low 80’s, not the mid 50’s like two days ago. We even had the heat go on for a short time.

Today will be like a usual Sat. with not much to do until we go to church at 4 pm and on Sun. we will not have to go any place for a change.

Hope you got rid of that package Jan. Doesn’t something like get you mad when people don’t want to do their job?

What are you going to do for firewood Rita if your suppler is out of commission? Can you get any one else?

I’m glad I don’t have to deal with those problems as we are not living in the “boonies” people.

    Peace to all of you.

Imelda has finally passed us. It wasn’t nearly as bad as Harvey, but many people had their houses flooded. Many businesses in Beaumont, Port Arthur and Orange were severely damaged. We were planning to take our grandson to the Shrine Circus, but the arena was damaged, too, so the circus has been canceled until November. Pray for all these people who are trying to get lives back together.

    Good weekend Vagabonds

It’s fifty outside the door this morning and the sun ain’t showing despite Channel 3 is saying abundant sunshine. I should take advice from Rita and take what the sooth sayers say with care.

Last night we went to a cousin’s house for supper and a visit, we’ve done this now for several years. She is a cousin from my mother’s side of the family which is somewhat smaller than dad’s side.

I did the groceries yesterday because we have an important Grange meeting this afternoon. This meeting is to be the last meeting of Maple Valley Grange 450, we will surrender our charter then there will be only one grange left from the former Prospect Pomona district. Sad day.

Well, I still have to get the recycling and trash to deal with so I ’ll be on my way.

May the road rise to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face. And until we meet again, May the Lord hold you in the palm of His hand.

    Good Showery morning, Vagabonds,

The rain woke me up around 5:30 this morning, and I couldn’t go back to sleep. And, I’ve been experiencing a “flare up” since we went on Mr. Toad’s Wild ride last week. I’ve increased my stretches and exercises to take care of that, and now my right shoulder is screaming at me for doing too much. I guess I can’t handle 18 miles of rutted road. Could you all add my name to your prayer list, too?

Enjoy your Saturday. xoxo Happy Trails

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

The package finally got picked up yesterday morning. I saw the truck outside while he was delivering something across the street. The driver jumped back into his truck and was going to drive off when I stopped him and said he had a scheduled pick up from us. He said “Oh, I do? I didn’t even look.” If I hadn’t been outside, the package would still be there (and he would probably have made up some kind of excuse for not picking it up). Oh well. It’s over and I have a new contempt for Fed Ex. From now on, UPS all the way!

Not much happening today. Perhaps some grocery shopping this afternoon. Other than that, I plan to binge watch some more 40 year old This Old House episodes. I am putting off starting another cross-stitch project for a few days. (Michael says “yeah, right!”)

The weather here has been wonderful. High 60’s at night and low 80’s during the day. Such a relief! (And, yes I know that most of the rest of the country thinks that is uncomfortably hot, but as Michael and I were chatting about yesterday, uncomfortable weather depends entirely on where we live and what we are accustomed to.)

    Everyone have a blessed day.

    Good afternoon Vagabonds.

It is cloudy, breezy and 84 out right now and should start to cool off in the next hour or so. We will be heading out to church in about 2 hours. My church sponsors a Southern Gospel Concert three times a year. Tonight should be two groups and two single singers. This is the second one this year with the last being in December. These are all local musicians and they are very talented.

Just saw a link on Facebook that says that Liam Neeson will be doing a location shoot for his next movie in my hometown of Wellington, Ohio.

    Everyone have a wonderful day.
