So, on these boards we’ve had Arab dictators as vultures, we now have Islamists (because they are all not only intolerant but also radical and violent :-| ), where’s the ‘toon showing the existing Western vultures benefiting from the oppression of the Egyptians so they could have a friend in Mubarak scampering off? Versatile creatures, these vulture caricatures.

(and dammmit! That’s not an Egyptian vulture! Unless…those aren’t Egyptian Islamists being represented…ahhhh! *taps his nose)

Duh? Aren’t the majority of Egyptians followers of Islam? I don’t get the stupidity. Unless there is a correlation to the christianists in the USA… .

^ “Duh?” ? Are all Muslims of the same uniform opinion? Don’t think so. It is using images of vultures with Islamists and others equating the religion with terrorism in the same sentence that is troubling and gives succour to the more radical of the fundamentalists. I find all fundamentalists of any religion rather worrying but I don’t immediately think a fundamentalist is violent.

I am amazed at the number of ignorant people who do not know the difference between an ‘Islamist’, and a person of Islamic faith. I strongly suspect that most will be future recipients of the ‘Darwin Award’.

Dudley Didereaux exclaimed: ”I am amazed at the number of ignorant people who do not know the difference between an ‘Islamist’, and a person of Islamic faith.” Me too. An Islamist is an orthodox follower of Islam, a fundamentalist.

^^Churchie gets his Islam expertise from Pat Robertson and the fundamentalists, not facts. We should remember also it was “W” who launched “Crusade”, before he of course backed off and thinly veiled the war on Islam as the “war on terror”.

Fundamentalists are dangerous, of ANY stripe!

First, what is the difference between the hatred extreme muslims (not all) have against Israel and the hatred the US had against Japan after Pearl Harbor?

If Israel has to survive as a State, it has to learn to live with its neighbors, like any other nation on Earth. Or even like every home owner live with its next-door neighbors.

Toon comes from the same nation that gave us the Muhammad caricatures. Sure, the reaction to those was completely insane but most of those cartoon weren’t exactly balanced either (and that was BEFORE they were attacked).
