Respect for the classics! It was the 1933 version (with Fay Wray) that ended atop the Empire State Building. The 1976 remake (with Jessica Lange) used the World Trade Center. The 2005 version (with Naomi Watts) returned to its roots with the Empire State Building, because it would’ve been gauche that soon after 9/11 to depict to the Twin Towers (regardless of when the action supposedly occurred), and One World Trade Center wouldn’t be done until 2013.
