“Portrait of a bush-league führer named [fill in name], a sparse little man who feeds off his self-delusions and finds himself perpetually hungry for want of greatness in his diet. And like some goose-stepping predecessors he searches for something to explain his hunger, and to rationalize why a world passes him by without saluting.
That something he looks for and finds is in a sewer.
In his own twisted and distorted lexicon he calls it faith, strength, truth." — He’s Alive
Symptomatic of the times world-wide: People who fear change, who feel reduced in importance from what they “deserve”, who blame their lack of success on immigrants… those people are ready to endorse violence, particularly against people who don’t look, act or sound like their “own”. In fact, Hitler was a symptom of a very similar social situation, and the person who holds the title “President of the USA” is another.
This problem will not be going away without blood, sweat and tears, if then. Climate change is going to increase the number of economic refugees, it is going to increase the number of strong-man putsches in nations small and large, and it is going to increase the amount of violence as people attempt to use the chaos to their own advantage… all of which will also increase the number of refugees trying to flee the violence.
The killing of Walter Lübcke , a German politician by a right wing neo-Nazi warns is of the dangers in our future.Briexit takes away from Europe and steading hand to keep the crazies in check. When I was station in Germany from 1962 to 1965, I had the feeling that they could and might rise again. There was a great weigh lifted off my shoulders when the train taking me to Denmark on leave when we cross the border, and it returned upon returning – just by watching the uniformed station managers strutting on along the station platforms. My take was that 85% of the German males enjoyed wearing an uniform and 15% looked lost in it.Without the leavening influences for the European Union, which Germany, France and Great Britain dominate, is what is keeping the larger countries from attacking the smaller – like they used to. Be scared folks.

One thing Americans hated about Nazis was that they killed children.
Ann Frank died from disease caught in a camp.
Will we ever get an accounting of the rapes, beatings, deaths and abuse at the Republican Concentration Camps for Children?
