    It’s tragic: When I became a geek, we could always be identified by our pens, mechanical pencils, and pocket protectors … oh yes, and slide rules. Some used to carry them on their belts like six-guns or swords, and have calculation duels.

    And I’ll bet most of those reading this have no idea what I’m talking about.
