Those Southern belle’s need to kept in their place.. Assuming they had rights was a big mistake that the Republicans are still grappling with 100 years later.
Everybody get out and vote. School board, city council, county offices and on up. Vote as if your life and your children’s and grandchildren’s lives depend on it. Because this time they do!
Not to be a Donny Downer, but those suffragettes in the back also supported poll taxes and other methods to discourage voting by poor and non-white voters, including women of color. The movement leaders were moneyed for the day and time and used their positions as many others with financial power – to pick and choose persons of proper pedigree for their specific cause. Not that it didn’t work out well in the long run. But specifically for the cartoon, those ghosts would have rather not seen that particular voter at “their” polls.

And look how certain men are still trying to control women. Thank you to those who came before us. We have not given up the fight.

If the conservative men have their way, we won’t reach 110.

Never Vote Republican! Why would any woman vote for the scum that work to hold them back?

Historic trivia: In an organized protest, even if only three, they would be wearing all white, with a light blue sash.

No, it isn’t sufferage … but sometimes it seems like it.
