Yes, this was a stupid thing for Holder to say. This came from a shared experience of racism.
The Repubs declared Holder in contempt of court after he testified seven times and handed over hundreds of documents. HRC testified eight times on Benghazi and answered repeated questions about email. Barr won’t testify to the House ONCE and Trump is trying to prevent anyone from testifying. Trump has desperately been trying to hide his finances and his discussions with Putin. The hypocrisy is appalling.
What’s the wingman comment supposed to mean? Are you trying to imply that Obama and Holder went bar hopping together, to pick up chicks and get laid? That’s what a wingman is, sport, and there’s nothing further from the truth.
Obama may have been a lot of things as president, but on the prowl for a good time was not one of them. Our current president is the one that considers himself an international jet setting playboy, in search of a good wingman.
Every executive hires cronies. Good executives have good cronies… and also hire folks who are good at what they do. Bad ones (the obvious example need not be named) hire only the very best cronies: The ones who will help him loot the corpses and bury the bodies. Who cares if they also make a little on the side?
When a President actually supports and abides by the rule of law like Obama did, the AG can be the President’s wingman in upholding that law, like Holder did.
I sure do miss the rule of law. I guess we’re learning a lesson about not taking things for granted like how political candidates used to be required to demonstrate that their character was up to a certain standard. Ah, the good ol’ days!
