    Except that, in one of the two main Eastern versions of chess (Japanese “Shogi”), that’s pretty much exactly what you do. When you capture your opponent’s pieces, you can drop them back onto the board as your own. (Yes, I know that Karma is more Indian or Chinese than Japanese – but you’d think she’d know that…)
