Let’s set up a Facebook page where folks can post explicit violent fantasies about raping Lisa Benson, post porn images with her face photoshopped over the porn star’s, post all sorts of personal information about her and her family, especially photos showing you can find and follow her children around, and all the other things Milo Yiannopoulos promoted via Gamergate. Because if you’re going to defend and normalize it, you really deserve to experience it.
On one hand, FB is a private corporation. Not really subject to 1st Amendment prohibitions on censorship. A valid legal argument is that you can start your own platform if you don’t like the rules.
On the other hand, FB has destroyed all competitors and is essentially a monopoly in the space it serves.
Perhaps if we forced FB to share its infrastructure, like we do with utility companies. Other providers could offer alternative service.
Lisa, back when your were a conversative you knew that freedom of speech does not obligate any business to provide me with a sound system just because the gave one to the other guy.
Facebook is a business. I don’t like their business so I’m not forced to patronize it. Remember that too, Lisa, or has Trump done a number on your memory as well and your politics?
