When rich Christians in Western countries bomb Muslims in their country, these Muslims have a lot of ammo for the small poor Christian communities. Regardless of religion, it is always the weakest who become the real victims.

To each his own, however, not only are Jews being attacked, Christians are being attacked, killed, monasteries burned, , churches burned, priest, monks, nuns congregations being killed…an average of 2-3 each week, especially in France. This is like in the day of the Crusades….why did the Knights Templar engage in war and with who?

If people were fighting over possession of land or water or food, we could understand but over beliefs in intangibles that the others could not possibly even be aware of?

Never mind all those bombs we have dropped on the middle east every day ever since GHW Bush was president.

Perhaps Christians bring this upon themselves being so sanctimonious and intolerant of other views. The planet is littered with corpses and skeletons of those whose religious views differed from theirs. Just as one example, Christians in this country zealously arm and support the Israelis who progressively seize and occupy land which rightfully belongs to Palestinians. I am not a particularly religious person myself but I believe that God does not endorse ANYONE killing or persecuting others in his name simply because they do not worship him in the same way. Bottom line, there is plenty of blame to go around for the death toll of innocents that keeps mounting, and Christians should put their own house in order before castigating others for their misdeeds.

Kurdistan? It’s not its own country. Rojava might be more accurate, but I think it’s tolerant.

The story of Cain killing Abel tells us that a brother (one human) has been killing his brother (another human) since the advent of civilization and for religious reasons. All religions have a variety of this story and none of their True Believers can understand it or embrace its meaning.

If there were an actively present god with good intentions for mankind, she’d make sure that all religions were about peace, fellowship, helping those in need, and forgiving those who’ve caused you hurt, at least after one generation. From the fact that so many sects are pretty much the opposite of all that, I have personally concluded that such a god does not exist. I won’t argue with you about whether any such entity could exist, though, just that there’s no evidence one does.

Such things are invisible, usually, have all shapes and no shapes. And probably more than one. If such things exist. So far there isn’t any evidence for it in any science.

However this is evolutionary since psychology is as important as any other trait for maximum survival and the majority of humans find it works for them. Any who don’t are the outliers that Evolution can leave just in case.
