I’m allergic to cats but not as bad as years ago. We have three Border collies and five indoor-outdoor cats. They pretty much ignore me, which is great. They seem to know I’m the one who brings home the great cat food instead of the farm store junk.

I’ve a friend who comes over for a weekly gaming night (on the computer) and when we’ve finished playing computer games, we’ll finish a beer. He usually sits on the couch while I prefer my recliner. This guy has a mild allergy to cats. Within a minute of sitting down, one of my cats will jump on the couch next to him. The other cat will curl up on his jacket, which he usually just drops on the floor in front of the door. At least this ‘6th sense’ is better than the one that Haley Joel Osment had in the movie by the same name.

So true. I had a cat who always sat on ladies wearing nylon stockings. He once climbed into the Avon lady’s sample case. (Yes, this was years ago!)

He shouldn’t need a seventh or even sixth sense to detect food. His sense of smell should be sufficient.

In Bucky’s case, that is everyone: no sixth-sense needed.

There are at least seven senses in humans:

    - Vision

    - Hearing

    - Smell

    - Taste

    - Touch

    - Vestibular (sense of balance and spatial orientation)

    - Proprioception (self-movement, body position, and joint position sense)
