Just how many “Ginger Meggs” (children) characters are there that have no nicknames? Minnie is short for Minerva, Aggie Agnes, and Eddie Edward (or Edwin, Edgar, Edmond).

I guess they call her ‘Pen" because she’s mightier than the sword. I am curious, since nicknames usually have some source.
