You must ALWAYS keep firmly in mind that this was NOT Trump’s idea! Donnie John hasn’t had an “idea” since 1984. He’s simply “parroting” someone else – probably Stephen Miller (and Joseph Goebbels wannabe).
This, like so MANY Republican “good ideas” has not been thoroughly thought out and would have serious “unintended consequences” for Republicans, down the road.
Putting aside the fundamental question of the “legality” of the action (Trump and his ‘mob’ really don’t consider “legalities” in their actions), disbursing sanctuary-seekers to “sanctuary cities” would place them in a welcoming environment right off the bat.
It would also, with the Trump Administration’s vaunted INABILITY to keep “track” of people, be welcoming those people to a long-term stay in America that some would refer to as Amnesty!
And just think, it would ALL BE DUE to a half-baked idea cooked up by Trump – because he’s started believing his own lies about the asylum-seekers all being criminals and rapists and human traffickers!
Most in the sanctuary cities would recognize that they would be doing the sanctuary-seekers a great kindness, and on a much more cynical note, think of the narratives that could be spun by democrats from this for the 2020 election – and it would be served to us on a silver platter bu Donnie John.
It sounds like the heartland is kinda conflicted about immigration. Sometimes you just can’t have it both ways. Tiny’s wall or an immigration and guest worker policy that is humane and makes sense.
In the News today: Trump brags about how his economic policies have resulted in booming business and millions of unfulfilled jobs as there are not enough workers to fill them, and then claimed we have to stop immigration as those immigrants are taking American jobs.

Nice try, but Trump lives to punish not to help.
