Dump may be concerned that the Dems might get a look at his taxes, but I suspect he’d be really fretting if his base got a look at his taxes via the Dems. Then all might learn just how much a billionaire he really is.

The real reason Trump will not release his taxes is it will show, as the Deutsche Bank audit found, that Donald’s net worth is around $754 million. While that is quite respectable (and $751 million more than I have) it is not the “billions” lie he has been telling for years.
Any time any politician hides anything from the electorate, the reason IS ALWAYS OBVIOUS. Understand that Donald John Trump never planned for Trump to actually WIN the election – he was running to polish his image; his “Brand”, as it were. His candidacy was just an advertising ploy for the Trump Organization and it just got out of hand, that’s all.
Trump said, during the campaign, that he would release his returns "as soon as he was out from under ‘audit’.
Richard M. Nixon proved that tax returns COULD be released while an audit is going on – the I.R.S. doesn’t care!
So Donnie John is hiding something (probably MANY, MANY SOMETHINGS) from the American electorate!
Likewise with T.T.A.G. William Barr! The Mueller Report was NEVER going to show any ACTUAL criminality by the President because the Justice Department had a long history of accepting the ridiculous idea that a sitting President was above the law (couldn’t be indicted) and Mueller was ever so loyal to the Department of Justice. So what he came up with was 400 pages plus addenda showing how Donald John Trump wasn’t fit to hold office and outlining essentially the articles of impeachment. T.T.A.G. Barr was NEVER supposed to add his two cents to the report – it was supposed to go almost immediately to Congress.
I would hope that the Republicans in Congress (at least the semi-intelligent ones) see that EVERYTHING Trump is allowed to get away with, future Presidents, both Republican AND DEMOCRATIC, will have a perfect excuse to follow, as well!
What Republicans need to do – what they SHOULD HAVE BEEN DOING FROM THE FIRST, ask them the simple question, "Would I let Obama get away with this? or, more generically, "would I let a democrat get away with this?
Oh, and, keep in mind, that saying “well, Obama did this, or Obama did that…” is a stupid, childish excuse that no ADULT would ever countenance! You can never justify an action by comparing it to someone else’s action unless it’s the SAME action!
Or lack of treasure; or no taxes paid; or massive debt to foreign countries; or indication of money laundering; or other nefarious reasons. The point is the evidence is strong he is hiding something. The electorate deserve to know what that is, or alternatively, clear his name.
