Trump shuts down the government, shuts down the border, causes massive economic havoc in both cases. Putin wins, American in chaos and Republicans are begging him not to throw them under the bus in advance of what will be a tough 2020 race for Republicans.
As a Democrat, politically I should welcome these self-inflicted wounds.
But because the consequences wreak so much havoc and devastation in the real lives of real people, I do not welcome this chaos, but I do want those responsible for it to be held accountable.
Just maybe, it is Tiny’s goal to economically help the avocado, orange, and kiwi fruit growers of Florida and California with his border closing, but where will they find the help at harvest time?
The produce section would be totally empty if the resident decides to close the southern border… So Christie’s could sell all produce at auction… For one thing as someone mentioned here… u.s. Grower’s Can’t Get Enough help to harvest before the crop rots in The Orchards and Fields…

Same goes for celery lately. Awhile back it was lettuce. It seems the price for some form of produce has to skyrocket periodically.
